Another story about a guitar that got smashed while being taken on an
airliner, this time the airline replaced the guitar but it still makes
me very wary of ever flying with a guitar whether it's in a hard case
or not. From http://www.edmontonsun.com/news/canada/2009/08/22/10561081-sun.html : "Graham said he was devastated when he opened his guitar case only to
find out that his Stonebridge got smashed and the one he won at the
festival was damaged. But last Thursday, he received a replacement guitar courtesy of Air Canada." Maybe this compensation was forthcoming because of the "United breaks
guitars" video
