After having an accident with my first 12string guitar I realised how important it is to have a guitar hard case to protect my instrument. I started out with hard wooden guitar cases but did find them a bit heavy and ended up with a fibreglass guitar hard case for the six string I bought new. The next step is a kind of gig bag that is soft on the outside and lightweight, but has a large amount of foam padding inside that protects the guitar.
