A reader called Danny is looking for a hard case for his Gibson Les
Paul Junior guitar, just the hardcase on its own: Dear Guitar Hardcase, I have a quick question, i'm buying a Gibson Les Paul Junior and i'm
after just the hardcase, but i cannot find it anywhere. There are plenty of Les Paul Hardcases, but i wondered if this be good
for the guitar? Also, Billie Joe Armstrong released his signature version of the
Junior, along with custom harcase, however to buy the case and guitar
is about £1000, but to buy an original Junior is £600, so wondered if
i can buy his case separately? Well Danny, I think its likely that overall there are more Les Paul
Juniors than there are hard cases out there, since some of them would
have been sold without a case at all. So normally it's best to try and
find the guitar and case for sale together. I can see what you're
getting at though, if you can get an original Gibson guitar without
the case it's going to be more economical, and then try to find the
case on its own. Or maybe even buy an inferior guitar that comes with
the case you want, and the guitar you want, swap the guitars over and
sell on the one that came with the case, on its own again? I realise there's a question in here as well about whether the Les
Paul Junior guitar fits OK into the standard Les Paul hard case and
since I've never owned either of these myself, I'll leave it up to the
other readers to answer that one, or else why don't you just borrow
one and try it out yourself? Do let us know how you get on by the way and thanks for submitting
your question to the Guitar Hardcase blog.
